This unique camp is designed to significantly boost your leadership skills, whether you're currently in a leadership role or aspiring to be one.

You'll embark on a journey of self-discovery to understand what makes you and others tick. We'll explore essential topics like:

Personality styles
Understanding and motivating people
Conflict resolution
The power of communication

The camp features a hands-on, interactive format. You'll be engaging with others and applying your knowledge through daily activities designed to put what you learn into action.

Daily Focus:
Day 1: Self-Discovery & Personality Styles
Day 2: Leadership, Communication & Motivating People
Day 3: Decision Making, Conflict Resolution & Team Building
Day 4: Negotiation & Networking

This camp is led by the Director of the Kettering University Robotics Center and parent of three Kettering Alumni, and sponsored by GM and Magna.

Registration Type

Designed for students in grades 8-12, this immersive Kettering University camp offers two ways to experience campus.

Residential Camp: Stay overnight in our residence halls and experience life as a Kettering Bulldog. Includes meals in the dining hall and single person rooms in the dormitory. Residential Camp is only available to students entering grades 8-12. The cost is $1070, with move-in on July 27, 2026.

Day Camp: Prefer to commute? Our day camp option allows campers to be dropped off and picked up daily for $700, while still enjoying the same hands-on learning and campus experience. Includes lunch daily in the dining hall

Due to dietary restrictions, all attendees should bring their own snacks/beverages for their rooms.

Our greatest priority is the well-being of our students; we require you read and sign the pledge below indicating your understanding and willingness to abide by our community standards. While on campus, you are expected to be courteous and respect the rights and property of participants and stall members. Remember, you are a guest of the City of Flint and Kettering University.

Frances Willson Thompson Hall does not permit smoking, the use of controlled substances and abides by the Kettering policy of no alcohol on campus.

Participant Expectations

I will attend and be on time for all classes, labs, field trips and social excursions.
I will pay attention and not engage in any disruptive activities during classes, labs and field trips.

I will wear appropriate clothing to all events and use safety equipment as directed.
I will stay on campus unless I am on an authorized excursion
I understand that members of the opposite sex are not allowed in my room with the exception of Kettering employees carrying out University responsibilities.
I will not allow Kettering University students in my room after curfew hours.

Sunday - Thursday 11:00 p.m.

Community Standards Agreement
Kettering University Overnight Residential Programs reserve the right to terminate the stay of any student when it is deemed to be in the best interest of either the student or the program as determined by the University and the program staff. The University and the program staff expressly reserve the exclusive right to establish and determine the standards of conduct, behavior and performance of the participants engaging in the program and to require compliance with such standards as a condition of participation in the program. Students who do not follow these rules, or engage in dangerous or inappropriate behavior, will be expelled from the program at their own cost. Kettering reserves the right to inspect Student Housing Rooms and to regulate the use of the premises in accordance with Kettering rules and regulations. Kettering may make routine and emergency repairs in students rooms when deemed necessary and without prior notice. The University requires you to read these regulations with your parent/guardian.

Kettering shall have no responsibility for the loss or damage to student property.
By signing this form, I am granting Kettering University authority to secure emergency medical/surgical treatment for my child while attending the program if there is insufficient time to contact me. I am also giving Kettering University permission to secure routine, nonsurgical medical care for my child while attending the program.
I understand my child's room will be inspected during the checkout process. In the event there has been any damage to the property of Kettering University or if the room key is lost, responsible individuals will be billed. Your child is responsible for their room key and if they lose the room key assigned to them, there will be a fee of $150.00.
